Compliance Manager
My client, is looking to recruit a Compliance Manager to guide and support the insurance operations in Ireland by identifying monitoring and managing compliance risks as per the Compliance Officers Handbook and pro-actively assisting management in identifying and containing compliance risk; monitoring, reporting and certification; fostering a compliance culture and optimising relations with Regulators. This person will lead the compliance function and have extensive interaction with local management.
The successful candidate will play a significant role in supporting the growth and change of the insurance operations in Ireland.
Key Responsibilities:
• To support the compliance functions of three regulated entities with a range of products and markets
• To support fast growing business segments while maintaining appropriate levels of control
• Be responsible for the measurement and management of compliance risks.
• 500 reinsurance treaties to be supported
Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications:
• Appropriate professional qualification or studying towards obtaining professional qualification in Ireland in a relevant discipline
• 5/6 years relevant in-depth experience in a financial services organization including experience in a compliance role
• Strong communications, analytical, organisational, project management and planning skills.
• Familiar with the principles and practice of European financial services regulation
• You must have experience of General insurance, life, and reinsurance operations and associated compliance environment
• Strong influencing and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish productive relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
