| Description: |
Our client, one of the leading companies in the energy distribution sector in Ireland and the UK, has an immediate vacancy for a Head of Finance. This is a senior management strategic role.
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Head of Finance is responsible for a Financial Controller and associated finance and administrative team. An element of foreign travel is involved with the role.
Strong leadership skills are required. Operational, Financial and Commodities Risk management experience is necessary (e.g. experience in foreign currency exchange, hedging and oil price risk, energy trading).
Role of Head of Finance:
- Overall responsibility for Company Financial Activities.
- Assist MD in setting Group Strategy.
- Develop Business Plans in conjunction with MD and Management Team.
- Manage Group Financing Requirements, in particular working capital requirements. Work with banks to ensure that working capital facilities are in place to sustain the Group growth.
- Manage all aspect of Group Business Risk. Risks include Operational, Financial, and Commodities Risk (foreign exchange and oil price risk).
- Improve and Manage Management Control Systems.
- Assist MD in assessing acquisition and disposal opportunities.
- Act a deputy for MD in his absence.
