We currently have a role for a Credit Associate with a leading bank. This is a contract role which requires exceptional relationship & credit skills.
You will primarily be looking after SME clients
1. Responsibilities
Monitor and manage your portfolio of cases within the team portfolio by conducting regular in-depth credit review. Apply agreed strategy and Bank credit policy to the portfolio and monitor / report deviations from same. Represent the bank in all negotiations in a professional manner, seeking appropriate solutions with the customer and deliver optimum results for the bank Ensure that complete and up to date files are in place for all cases in your portfolio Participate in your teams half yearly provisioning exercise on the portfolio and provide comprehensive and timely information to your team leader to ensure accurate reporting on same In conjunction with relevant Business Centre Banking team ensure you have in-depth knowledge of your customer's portfolios and keep yourself up to date on all activities on the account. Work effective with the banks legal team on cases to ensure that the most effective recovery strategies and tactics are employed in a cost effective manner. Ensure that your approvals and decisions taken in relation to the sub EUR 250 k relationships are safeguarding the banks interests ensuring fast and as complete recoveries as possible. Attend and participate at team meetings and one to ones and work co-operatively with team and peers Transfer your knowledge to team members by sharing experience and learning from cases. Keep up to date with changing economic factors that impact your customers and act appropriately on same 2. Qualifications - Desirable
Hold a QFA qualification / grandfathered Qualified to Business Degree Level (or equivalent) would be an advantage. 3. Experience & Knowledge - Desirable
Experience in 'work-out' situations and/or Credit Analysis is advantageous. 4. Technical and Behavioural Skills - Essential
Credit Analysis : Ability to access and critically evaluate and interpret complex information gathered from multiple sources. Strong knowledge of financial statements including a firm understanding of working capital and cashflow. Ability to prepare discounted cashflow calculations and to determine appropriate provision levels therefrom. Ability to prepare scenario tests for individual cases. Negotiating: Ability to complete a thorough preparation for negotiations, clarify what margins and standards apply to the negotiation, act from the banks strategic perspective. Document and integrate the negotiations and various options of different parties in the form of a framework agreement and ensures agreement is reached. Influence: Have the ability to present the view of the bank in a way that is professional and inspires confidence. Has a positive influence and gains consent by using appealing arguments and the appropriate tone and timing. Exerts influence by pointing out the long terms consequences of particular decisions. Influences others to work towards a result that is advantageous for all parties in the negotiations. Communications: Verbal and Written. Ability to communicate and deliver comprehensive and professional credit case reports. Communicate and update team and peers at team briefings, seeking feedback and finding collaborative solution to conflicts situations. IT: Excellent IT skills including MS Office to enable the preparation of detailed case reports and presentations Organisation and Planning: Ability to operate on own initiative and to identify business opportunities and assess their commercial viability. Delivering Results: Excellent organisation and planning with an ability to meet challenging deadlines and prioritise workload between competing demands. Flexible: Needs to be capable of adapting to meet the requirements of a dynamic working environment. What's next??
