| Description: |
An international bank with well established operations in Dublin seeks to appoint a Head of Compliance.
This is a newly created role and interested candidates will ideally possess experience in international banking with financial market products.
Key Deliverables
Maintain ongoing knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements and the best practices of leading global banks
Develop an annual compliance plan to monitor the effectiveness of compliance controls
Define remedial action to address weaknesses identified
Conduct risk assessments of relevant laws and regulations and incorporate same into the compliance plan
Ensure appropriate policies are in place for credit and market risk
Advise Senior Management on change management initiatives
Provide oversight of AML/KYC practices
Liaison with internal Audit committee, External Auditors, Regulatory bodies and CEO
Required Skills
Thorough understanding of capital markets and off-balance sheet transactions including derivatives
Understanding of the requirements and procedures surrounding credit and market risk limit authorizations and documentation
Established relationships with regulatory bodies, particularly the Irish Financial Regulator
