We currently have an opportunity for a Business Banking Manager on a 2 year FTC. The company will provide a very good salary and benefits. The client are looking for a candidate with at least 3 years experience or similar within a lending environment. 1. Purpose Manage and control a loan portfolio with responsibility for its risk profile. Adhere strictly to credit policy, compliance and legislative guidelines. Particular emphasis is required on the management of the existing population of stressed loans within that portfolio. In addition, the role will require the prudent acquisition of suitable clients in line with bank strategy and agreed targets, within the Food & Agri and renewable energy sectors.
2. Responsibilities Credit Risk Management: Ø Effective assessment and management of credit risk for all existing and new lending. Ø Formulate and recommend loan applications for customers in a timely fashion, in line with bank credit policy. Ø Ensure that reviews of clients exposures are conducted in a timely fashion and in line with banks targets. Ø Ensure all client relationships are correctly graded with regard to the banks credit grading policy. Ø Ensure priority is given to timely completion of review process as outlined by the bank. Ø Improve your own credit skills on an ongoing basis, for example, completion of the OMEGA credit skills course or similar training.
Arrears Management: Ø Prompt and timely arrears management with an emphasis on collection of same. Ø Regular progress reports on ongoing collection of arrears Ø Ensure that you are fully briefed on the legal framework supporting arrears management
Customer Account Management: Ø Represent the bank in all negotiations in a professional manner, seeking appropriate solutions with the customer and deliver optimum results for the bank. Ø Ensure you have in-depth knowledge of your customer portfolio with particular emphasis on stressed cases and those displaying warning signals. Ø Guarantee end to end customer service by ensuring that all actions are continually managed in an effective manner.
Control & Compliance: Ø Contribute to teams adherence to internal and external compliance and regulatory requirements evidenced through satisfactory ratings in internal/external reviews/audits/self assessment tests. Ø Responsible for errors management process in relation to incidents arising within your portfolio
Business Development: Ø Achieve annual new business targets in line with the banks strategy. Ø Develop a close working relationship with other functions in the bank to maximise income generation from a variety of products and service e.g. Wealth Management, GFM etc. Ø Develop a deep knowledge of the Food & Agri and Renewable Energy Business sectors and participate in the implementation of the banks strategy in these sectors.
4. Experience and Knowledge Ø Preferably 3 years Business Banking Lending experience. Ø Well informed on general market trends and economic issues. Ø Have a proven track record in the management of risk and a good all-round knowledge of the credit market place.
