We currently have a role for a Compliance Officer with a leading domestic institution. The role will require candidates with a background and understanding of Prudential legislation. Overview of the role · Maintain comprehensive, up to date, listing of Universe of Prudential Obligations · Ensure the bank is abreast of all impending changes in Prudential Supervision · Act as Secretary to the Regulatory Compliance Committee including preparation of papers in relation to Prudential Supervision changes · Project manage the implementation of new directives/legislation · Represent the bank on relevant industry bodies such as IBF · Co-ordinate and prepare the banks responses on industry consultation papers · Work closely with Head of Regulatory Reporting to ensure that the bank is compliant with its reporting obligations · Highlight to Management areas of weakness in relation to Prudential compliance matters · Third level degree and professional qualification essential (e.g. solicitor, accountant) and LCOI desirable · Detailed understanding of the role and impact of various Regulatory bodies at a National and European level · Demonstrable ability to interpret complex prudential guidelines and translate these into meaningful business guidelines · Previous experience in dealing and corresponding with the Financial Regulator and other regulators · Project management skills and experience in the implementation of new prudential guidelines · Capacity to be an influencer among peers and senior management and to operate significantly outside of own comfort zone · Desirable if previously approved by the Financial regulator for another role under the Fitness and Probity regime. · The successful candidate will need to be a self-starter who can work independently and on their own initiative.
