Our client are seeking a Senior Product Devleopment Treasury professional for their high profile Structured Business Desk reporting directly to the head of Structured Business.
The role
The successful applicant will join an established team at a senior level, and will be involved in all aspects of the generation and pricing of innovative new products, and subsequent market launches.
Key Responsibilities:
• Servicing the wholesale structured product needs of all Group businesses & third party Financial Institutions.
• Structuring investment products linked to equities, interest rates, inflation, foreign exchange etc. the desk is involved in structuring liability hedges on a range of underlyings.
• Manage and grow Treasury opportunities from a portfolio of highly demanding Customers.
• Proactive design, origination and hedging of equity and interest linked structured products (on both sides of the balance sheet) for distribution through Group channels and third parties
• Work with team heads to develop strategy
Essential requirements:
• A minimum of 5 years experience in a front-office treasury role, with experience of product generation or product pricing.
• A sound understanding of the working of the financial markets.
• An ability to identify business opportunities and to drive the creation and wholesale marketing of suitable products to our customer base.
• Excellent numerical / mathematical ability.
• Capacity for creative thinking / flair for problem solving & flexibility.
• Proven interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
