Finance Operations Officer



Main Purpose of the Position

This is a management profile position reporting to the Manager of a newly formed Finance Shared Service Centre that will provide Finance & Accounting support to affiliates across the Europe, Middle East and Africa region,
The position is based in Krakow (with some opportunity for travel) and is primarily concerned with:




Establishing operating processes for the Finance Shared Service Centre

Developing and driving harmonization in transitioned finance processes and assisting with pre-transition harmonization

Key member of the start-up team for the newly build Finance Shared Service Centre

Key Responsibilities




Defining and implementing Shared Service unit controls and procedures

Assist the Finance Shared Service Centre Manager with Management & Administration of a unit of up to 50 employees, including project oversight, internal processes improvement

Assisting the Finance Shared Service Centre Manager in developing lean "future state" processes through process review and analysis, defining and managing process changes with view to a consistent and harmonized set of processes

Review of "as is" processes under transition from local country finance units with view to identifying weaknesses or potential improvement opportunities

Knowledge and Experience
Academic and Professional Qualifications




Financial Accounting education

Minimum 6 years of work experience with at least 3 years of relevant work experience within SSC or BPO

High level of technical knowledge relating to process analysis and definition

Deep understanding of financial processes and controls in operation

Documentation and workflow experience

Experienced in Shared Service transition or set-up and operations

Specific Experience/Know How




Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills, service orientation

Excellent English language communication skills, written and verbal

Good PC application knowledge necessary (MS Office, workflow tools)

Ability to present and sell ideas

Experienced with Financial Accounting Applications

Highly comfortable in a changing and growing environment

Main Working Relationships




Transition Leads

Region-wide Functional Managers and/or local country CFO?s and their delegates

Financial Shared Service Centre Management
