Leading multi-national Insurance Provider with offices in Dublin City Centre currently require an experienced Project Accountant to join their expanding Finance Team on a contract basis

The Position:

This is a contract role, initially for a 6 month period. The Project Accountant will support the technical accounts team in the implementation of a new reinsurance system.

Duties will include:
Collation and reconciliation of legacy technical accounts information for transfer to the new system
• Assisting in system testing for and improvements required for Finance
• Assisting in the parallel run between current manual processes and the new system
• Updating of Finance manual for the new system
• Supporting the finance team to ensure accurate and reliable reporting
• Liaise with finance functions across the Group to manage operational risks introduced by changes to systems and reduce inherent operational risk
• Liaising with the internal and external auditors to explain new processes systems and resolve any control issues.

The Person:

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) – this role may appeal to a recently qualified Accountant, but knowledge of insurance sector is required
• Strong systems skills required- Sun Accounts, WebXL an advantage
• Financial Services experience a benefit and (Re)Insurance experience is highly desirable

Salary:

EUR 40000 – 50000
