We currently have an opportunity for a senior Portfolio Manager with a leading financial institution. The client is looking for a candidate who has previous experience of managing others in a front office environment.

Salary is negotiable doe. The company will also provide an excellent bonus structure as well as additional benefits.

Key Role Responsibilities

· Day to day management of the ever growing product range, including but not limited to:

o Checking the net asset value of the funds,

o Collating market information,

o Checking the portfolio protection,

o Generating trades and managing follow,

o Check currency hedging & cash positions, and

o Generate trades (if necessary)

· Pro-active Participating on projects regarding:

o New product development,

o ICT tools that support the fund management, and

o Improvement of the portfolio management

· Leading the Team

o Check the daily portfolio management

o Organize tasks and ensure continuity

o Coach colleagues

o Identify training needs

o Coordinate communication around the portfolios

o Change management

o Quality protection

Core Skills and Competences

The successful candidate will possess a third level qualification in Economics, Engineering, Physics or Maths and will hold relevant experience in managing similar funds, investment funds and/or portfolios.

He/She will also ideally possess the following competencies:

· High degree of professionalism

· Proactive

· Attention to detail, and the drive and ability to anticipate risks,

· Knowledge of financial markets

· Strong understanding of financial products essentially:

o Investment funds & Equities

o Bonds & Futures

o Term deposits

· Strong team player

· Fast learner

· Strong communication skills

· Strong leadership skills and team management skills

· Proven track record in portfolio management (minimum 2 years experience managing similar portfolios)
