We currently have an opportunity for a senior manager working with the Retail Credit Risk area of a leading bank. This is a fantastic opportunity in an expanding division that is currently restructuring. The client will provide and excellent salary & package. Candidates suitable for this role will have a strong background in Credit Risk within banking at a senior level. A background within retail credit risk would be extremely beneficial. Deliverables Stress Testing Methodology in place that meets group standards Forecasting methodology applied to all portfolios that optimises the data available and informs not only the size of expected movements in key metrics underpinning expected losses but when they will occur thereby facilitating operational planning Fit for purpose and compliant (Basel II and IAS 39) provision models up-to-date and generating reliable charge requirements within required SLAs via a robust process Fit for purpose and compliant Interest Held Short and Discount Unwind models Targets set and agreed with Collections and Recoveries Operations, for key metrics influencing the bad debt charge, at the beginning of the year and monitored monthly and intra month with variances accounted for and action plans agreed Policies for arrears management developed and updated in a timely manner such that our C&R operations have the right tools to deal with expected as well as prevailing economic scenarios. Arrears portfolios segmented within a reasoned rationale for the purposes of differential treatment. Segments articulated and updated with rationale explained. Strategies developed appropriate to each segment and implemented in a timely fashion via the most appropriate system (e.g. Probe). Champion challenger testing, tracking and implementation in place to constantly upgrade strategies. Strategy development to be expanded on a planned basis to all parts of arrears management (early such as pre-emptive as well as late such as asset management) System requirements for arrears management identified, championed, business case made and managed to implementation. Business case made for additional operational resource made as required to support forecasts. Regular partnership meetings held with collections Operational Teams and other key stakeholders · Management information developed and circulated to all key stakeholders on a timely basis identifying issues and driving actions required with appropriate ownership and timing. · Feedback loops created from arrears management back into policy, fraud mgt and underwriting. Key leadership input given to development of policy and strategy for the portfolios. · Appropriate skills and level of resourcing in team with adequate development and succession plans. Necessary controls in place; active relationship management of internal and external stakeholders.
