We currently have an opportunity for a Project Manager with a leading fund service provider. The client is looking for a candidate with significant Projects experience within the funds industry with diverse product knowledge of the sector.

Role Description:

· Full end-to-end responsibility for the management of multiple projects from initiation through implementation, includes: Planning, Risk & Issue Management, Change Control, Documentation, Budget, Resourcing, Tracking & Reporting, and Stakeholder Management.

· Must be delivery-focused, 'hands-on,' who will add value and have the knowledge and ability to question the content and quality of work delivered on the project. Provides overall direction for establishing project requirements, priorities and deadlines.

· Integrates project plans into Program Plans, establishes roles and responsibilities within the core program team, allocates and coordinates resources (staff, equipment, vendors and consultants) across one or more projects.

· Manages budget for assigned projects, develops and monitors project plans, and adjusts resources and priorities accordingly. Aligns business unit, technical development and support organizations. Establishes communication plan across the businesses, regions, support and technology groups. Prepares and presents progress reports for senior management.

· Provides guidance and direction to the various business groups on achieving further efficiencies and achieving their goals.

· Responsible for ensuring client solutions are developed on time and within budget and updates are clearly communicated to the client on a regular basis.

· Ability to work and lead teams in multiple geographic locations and time zones.

Essential

· Project management experience working within the funds sector

· Strong project management skills with experience of working in a driven and demanding environment

· Delivery-focused with a proven track record

· Strong technical background with experience in creating requirement specifications

· Excellent skills in Project Planning; Budgeting; Risk & Issue Management; Change Management Skills; Exposure to numerous software development methodologies (RUP, Waterfall, RAD etc)

· Strong team management and collaboration skills and an experience of working with virtual teams

· Excellent communication and leadership skills and an ability to manage change and prioritise accordingly.

· Experience of working in a client facing role.

· Solid understanding of the Microsoft Office toolset and Microsoft Project

· PMI, APM or PRINCE Accreditation

· Experience of managing out-sourced / vendor based developments (onshore and offshore

· Excellent interpersonal relationship, communication and presentation skills are paramount.
