Job Title: Group Financial Controller

Description:

Seeking a Big 4 trained, first rate Finance Manager/Controller level candidate for a leading Irish company in a dynamic and future-proof sector.

The Person:


• Responsible for the co-ordination of the quarterly/annual Group business planning process.
• Develop the Key Performance Indicators appropriate for the business.
• Analyse the impact of business opportunities on projected cashflows and resources.
• Analyse and interpret past and projected performance in order to provide management information to influence future actions/plans.
• Continuous improvement of reporting processes and internal controls for the Group.
• Review of the Group monthly reporting pack and commentaries for the functional management teams and for the corporate Board of Directors.
• Weekly cash flow reporting and cash flow forecasting.
• Manage the annual audit process including the preparation of the Group annual report, and ensure the company fulfils its statutory reporting obligations.
• Responsible for technical accounting issues and Group accounting policies.
• Ensure the shared services provided by the Accounts department in Dublin are operating correctly and are at the appropriate standard of service.
• Manage the performance and development of 3 staff.
• Managing the Group treasury function.
• Provide the financial information required in the event of due diligence at the time of sale of projects.
• Contribute to the commercial review of potential business opportunities.
• Liaise with Corporate Finance on all aspects of company valuation, business opportunities etc.


The successful candidate will be a dynamic and driven individual with a strong academic and professional record and be keen to move to a company where they can make a real impact.


The Person:


• A big-4 trained and qualified Chartered Accountant with 6+ years’ post-qualification industry experience.
• Experience of working in a sector that has large and long development projects would be useful.
• Experience of budget preparation, variance analysis and forecasting is essential.
• Strong analytical capability and an ability to appreciate the commercial impact of accounting issues.
• Experience of working capital management.
• Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to communicate with a wide range of people.
• Influencing skills.
• High levels of energy and motivation, with a track record of delivery.
