A leading global financial services institution is seeking to hire a Senior Auditor to join a newly formed internal audit team, based in their Dublin city centre HQ. This position will have primary responsibility for Irish and Central European business audits which are regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland. The Internal Audit team will cover the corporate and retail banking transaction services businesses in these regions which includes corporate cash management, trade finance, funds services and products as well as retail banking products to consumer customers. Key Tasks:
• Responsible for the development, planning and execution of Internal Audit Plan in accordance with IA Standards and in compliance with local regulations and company policies.
• Perform audits of Central Europe businesses and functions.
• Identify risks, assess controls and work with the business to develop corrective action plans as required.
• Validate corrective action plans for audit and regulatory issues.
• Complete audits within appropriate timelines and budgets
• Engage and develop working relationships with key business contacts. Key Requirements:
• Professional Qualification (Chartered Accountant, MBA or other advanced degree).
• Relevant audit experience in a financial services environment with particular focus on transaction services or retail products in banking.
• Strong technical skills and the ability to analyse complex business data using automated tools
• Knowledge of audit software (IDEA, ACL, SQL) and skilled user of advanced Excel and Access functions
• Clear communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and sound judgement is required for this role as the person will be required to work closely with internal clients.
