AVP Hedge Fund Accountant
Assistant VP’s are responsible for complying with the direction, policies, and guidelines for their group. They interpret client and business needs, direct staff through a team of managers and implement short and long-term solutions to ensure that all client and business needs are met. Individuals typically manage 2 managers and have responsibility for total staff of 10 – 15 employees
Essential Products/Systems/Experience
•Equivalent to a minimum second class honours degree in Business, Accounting, or related field. An accountancy qualification is preferred
•Five years + financial services experience with preferably three of those in hedge funds and two at manager level or equivalent
•Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
•Ability to develop relationships within and outside of the organization
•Strong problem resolution and analytical skills.
•Demonstrated negotiation, managerial and leadership skills.
•Ability to act as a role model for the company.
•Demonstrated commitment, reliability and performance at manager level or equivalent.
•Proven track record in applying company internal controls and policies
•Ability to build, train, mentor and manage efficient and effective teams.
