Position Overview



Our Client is looking to enhance its Private Equity offering and therefore are looking for a suitability qualified and highly motivated individual with a detailed knowledge of the private equity administration industry to help them develop our product.





Main Job Functions/Tasks
•Management of the NAV preparation and review process for our PERE fund clients
•Being responsible for keeping books and records and for timely and accurate recording of all transactions;
•Pricing investments;
•Calculating net asset values for monthly, quarterly or yearly trading.
•Reporting to and communicating with investment managers and other relevant parties;
•Assisting management in maintaining and developing client relationships;
•Participating in presentations to existing and prospective clients;
•Participating in and leading projects that may be defined from time to time in connection with the continuing expansion and evolution of the business;
•Participating in managerial functions in conjunction with the Managing Director;
•Any other functions required as part of the business of the Company, and reporting to the Managing Director.

Experience: Education, Qualifications and Special Training
•Degree qualified in Accounting or Finance related area (2:1 and above)
•Preferably hold or studying for a professional accounting qualification





Experiences
•Accountancy or business administration qualification essential
•Five years of experience in a similar position focused on Private Equity/Real Estate funds, Holding Companies, SPVs etc.
•Knowledge of various accounting standards and principals (Lux GAAP, IFRS, US GAAP)
•Working knowledge of MS Office and Investran is essential

Senior Trade Securities Analyst

•Accurate creation of newly traded financial instruments and maintenance of existing instruments with regard to the latest security master market vendor information, on the Fund Accounting platform


•Assisting with new client on-boarding and query resolution with various other centralised utilities – Trade Capture, Fund Accounting, Reconciliations etc.


Job Purpose:

•Understand the theoretical/technical nature of all listed security types – equities, bonds, derivatives, money market instruments


•Complete and oversee the daily set up of exchange listed securities on the Fund Accounting system, ensuring accurate data is applied at all times


•Complete and oversee the daily data scrubbing of existing financial instruments, ensuring all procedures have been followed and assisting in resolving ad-hoc issues.


•Where volumes are high, flag any potential service delivery issues as early as possible and assist other team members as directed by supervisor.


Responsibilities:

•Ensure scheduled work is completed by agreed deadlines, checklists are signed and files contain all required information prior to closing and filing


•Be proactive in the development of existing processes, look to add value, create efficiencies and improve functionality wherever possible


•Liaise with other internal utilities to ensure an efficient and highly functioning service is provided – assist in new client on-boarding, query resolution, existing process enhancements and new process implementation with Trade Capture Management, Fund Accounting, Reconciliations etc.


•Facilitate the training and mentoring of junior staff and new hires, use experience to instil a professional attitude and work ethic






Qualifications

Person Specification

•Strong clerical and keyboard skills with particular focus on accuracy and attention to detail


•Proficiency in using Microsoft packages particularly Excel. A strong knowledge of Visual Basic would be a distinct advantage


•Sound technical knowledge of derivative products, Market Data and Securities Administration. The ability to learn quickly


•Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.


•Excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills.


•Professional approach to work and personal appearance.
