Our Client - a Leading Financial Services organisation - is currently recruiting for a Senior Fund Accountant for their Dublin City Centre office. Position: The successful candidate will be responsible for the monitoring and oversight of the all related funds liaising extensively with the external administrators & service providers on the daily, weekly and monthly processes and controls across the various sub funds.
Responsibilities to include:
* Ensure smooth running of the various sub funds with daily NAVs, co-ordinating internal resources to correspond/reconcile external third party information. * Updating models to compare fund administrator reports prior to external distribution. * Maintain regular flow of KPIs for effective portfolio management by PMs. * Preparation of monthly performance information in order to help senior management analyse, attribute & comment on fund performance. * Review of quarterly distribution calculations to investors including the calculation of management fees, rebates, payment of expenses and interest payments to the note holders. * Detailed understanding and interpretation of legal documentation including prospectus, supplements. * Assisting in the client on boarding process * Assist in monitoring and reconciliation of trade delivery from in-house software to external administrators for the portfolio and investigate any discrepancies. * Updating various data feeds on other Group in-house systems on a timely basis * Develop the ongoing implementation of standard global operating processes and procedures across the firm. Identifying improvements and effecting change. * Assist directors with ad hoc information requests from investors; and * Continued liaison with Structuring & Investment teams on investment and fund queries.
Characteristics/Skills to be displayed by candidate:
Working in fund administration, with at least 3 years relevant experience from the investment management side
* Develop and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders including other business lines and corporate functions across the organisation. * Maintain & support effective external working relationships through timely communications with a range of related third parties. * Knowledge of fixed income instrument including leverage loans * Knowledge of derivatives (including Swaps, CDS & CDX) including management of FX forwards. * Numerate with high attention to detail with accounting background. * Proactive and ability to work with minimum supervision (post training). * Clear communicator, both verbally and written for both internal audiences and external clients. * Ability to work to tight deadlines and flexible to meet workload. * Advanced Excel including vlookups and pivot tables.
