Job Title: Risk & Valuations Specialist
Location: Dublin

€50,000 - €60,000
Position Overview

A challenging role in growing industry for enthusiastic, analytical candidates, involved in the day-to-day running of theCorkand Dublin OTC independent pricing processes in conjunction with theNew Yorkpricing team. Liaise with P&L and NAV teams to resolve pricing discrepancies and setups for complete and accurate client portfolio verification (based on value and risk sensitivities).



Main Job Functions/Tasks
•Resolving OTC setups (inc. CDS mappings), derivatives valuations and price variance with internal account managers (DublinandCork) who handle existing month-end and daily clients
•Researching markets and independent pricing of hedge fund portfolios
•Production of management reports to be distributed to senior management
•Assisting other teams with OTC instrument and trade loader setups. Also bonds, bank debt
•Involvement in testing new internally developed tools
•Process documentation
•Get involved with ‘hands-on’ training for OTC securities setups from a pricing perspective
•Understand the basics of industry/accounting guidance (e.g. FAS157) and assist with incorporation into pricing processes



Service Levels
•Clients’ portfolios priced on a timely basis
•Setup issues addressed and resolved intra-month as well as month-end
•Management reports produced accurately
•‘Hands On’ training on OTC instruments delivered on an ongoing basis





Education, Qualifications and Special Training
•Degree Qualified (2.1 and above) in Engineering/Math/Physics/Finance/Economics from a top university
•Quantitative skills including basic calculus, statistics and financial math



Experiences


•Should have a keen interest in learning about financial instruments, markets, derivatives valuation, financial engineering, risk management. Prior financial experience is not a requirement
•Strong in excel, must be tech savvy - will need to quickly learn Excel VBA, SQL
•Programming experience beneficial
