| Description: |
The Senior Accountant will have responsibility for all financial reporting activities of the company including all statutory, regulatory, group or other financial reporting activities. Responsibility for management and oversight of all financial planning activity including budgeting, re forecasting and any other financial projection activity. Oversight of all fiscal and tax reporting activities for the company and coordinating with external service providers, where appropriate, to ensure all local compliance requirements are met. Controlling and maintenance of the integrity of financial data and internal accounting procedures. Review and assessment of all financial processes and systems and management of any change implementation or improvement measures as necessary. Ownership of cost control and planning including Accounts Payable function and banking arrangements/bank reconciliations. In conjunction with the General Manager, monitor the ongoing appropriateness of the investment strategy with the view to optimising investment return while ensuring adherence to relevant group, regulatory or other requirements. Monitoring and management all foreign currency exposures in line with approved foreign exchange policy. Participate in the company?s Solvency II planning and implementation project. Attend and present to the Board and Committees of the company. Work with compliance function to ensure that the all regulatory requirements and developments are promptly addressed. Work with risk management function to identify, assess, monitor, control and report on a continuous basis all key material risks facing the business. | Experience: |
Qualified Accountant with over 5 years PQE. Non-life Insurer or Reinsurer.
Working knowledge of Solvency II in particular Standard Model and Pillar III reporting requirements.
