Hedge Fund Group Manager
This is an active role at a strategic level requiring extensive funds knowledge and an understanding of the global service delivery models, managing teams on a day to day basis whilst also representing the company in meetings with external parties such as IFSRA, external fund auditors, client Board of Directors, fund investment advisors, fund senior management, trustees, custodians and legal counsel.
You’ll participate in driving change across the group to improve the risk profile, and increase the automation/efficiency. Improving the efficiency of the model across the group that leverages location strategy and company centers of excellence in order to avoid wasted expense, lost revenue, and reputational damage
As follows:
Maintenance of client service at a high level, compliance with internal policy and external control, efficiency and control of process, and staff performance and development
Understanding of the regulatory framework for the assigned product, changes within that framework and the potential impact on fund managers
In-depth technical knowledge of current accounting processes, support applications and policies coupled with the ability to think strategically and participate in driving change throughout the assigned product accounting group for assigned product
Participating in delivering solutions for clients and re-engineering hedge accounting operations for assigned product
Manage a diverse set of resources, including external resources (vendors, strategic relationships, etc.) to meet a diverse and evolving set of client requirements as the industry continually innovates new structures and products
Assemble and work with other parts of the group to drive change and deliver for clients. The role is integral to driving revenues in the product group through delivering solutions to support new clients (including new fund structures, products & services), delivering superior client service and improving the operating profit of the business.
Engaging with a broad cross section of the business and the broader organization - senior management, operations management, product and business development. External engagement with clients & prospects in support of service delivery.
Foster an environment of teamwork and collaboration across all areas of the business and with shared services partners.
Manage those who manage others, treat others with respect, and have high standards of integrity. |

| Experience: |
12+ years’ experience within the Securities Services including at least 6 years of hedge fund/private equity accounting operations as appropriate and dealing with large and institutional clients.
15+ years’ experience in securities services including 10+ years in hedge fund/private equity accounting operations as appropriate and dealing with large institutional clients preferred.
Experience as a good manager of managers, strong communication and client engagement skills. |

Minimum Education: College Degree preferred/CPA. Preferred Education: MBA/CPA. |
