The Role:

My client is a global financial services holding company, with offices in 29 countries around the world. An excellent job opening for a Financial Reporting Senior Manager has come up in their Dublin office. You will work as part of the senior management team in Financial Reporting with a focus on areas such as client and auditor. What will you be doing?

This is a senior management role with a focus on areas such as client and auditor relationship management, staff management and development. Are you a strong technical expert in financial reporting related matters? Can you drive department strategy at a local and global level? Can you implement necessary change; strengthen internal control and risk management processes and general management of ad hoc tasks as required? If so then this is the role for you!

Tasks required:

Providing senior leadership and technical financial reporting advice to your staff, clients, audit firms and other parties as required
Provide technical senior management review of financial statements to ensure a quality product is produced
Manage and develop relationships with your clients and audit firms
Observe and evaluate staff performance in the department by putting in place ongoing development plans to develop and manage your staff
Assist other senior management in the department and deputies for your manager as required
Making sound operational judgement and decisions as required
Handle and resolve complex financial reporting issues as they arise.

Required Skills: Sound knowledge of accounting standards as they relate to Funds (IFRS,FRS 102, UK GAAP,US GAAP)
Industry knowledge
Regulatory background
Detailed understanding of Funds Administration, Custody and Legal.
Comprehensive procedural, technical and product knowledge of Financial Reporting
Up to date on all technical issues relating to format, presentation and content of interim and annual reports
Experience: 4+ years’ experience in a similar financial reporting environment preferable within the funds industry
Experience in managing a number of teams
Required Education: Qualified accountant (ACA,ACCA,CAP) with a business or related degree.
