My client is a long-established Credit-orientated Asset Manager with a value-based investment philosophy.

They have a global presence and, in recent years, have taken the strategic decision to enter the Private Debt market. Their business has grown strongly and the firm has now set up in Ireland.

Private Debt Associate

This will be the firm’s first hire in Ireland, and as such, it is a key appointment.

Individual: Possible Professional Background

Private Debt generalist currently operating in the mid-market space in Ireland

Banks: business / corporate banking background

Private Equity (generalist): front facing with origination skills and strong relationships

M&A Analyst (generalist): with origination capabilities and a strong network

Credit Analyst (generalist): strong technically as well as having highly developed company and intermediary relationships

Business Development Specialist: supported by other Muzinich PD specialists

Individual: Possible Professional Experience

Experienced mid-market-leveraged finance originator

Transaction skills: sourcing, screening, structuring, underwriting, modelling and general due diligence

Blend of strong analytical skills, new business solicitation, market development and portfolio servicing experience

Relationships with the Irish middle market community: accountants, banks, corporate finance boutiques, private equity firms, law firms

Can lead Senior, Mezzanine and Inter-Creditor negotiations and documentation

Educated to degree level and/or additional professional credentials

Personality traits: High Energy, Team Player, Self-Starter, Strong Communicator, Persuasive, Relationship Builder, Detail Orientated, Intellectual, Inquisitive, Commercial, Organised.
