Description: |
Middle Office Specialist - Munster
Responsibilities
Efficiently identifies and resolves transaction discrepancies between firm and swap counterparties
Ensuring timely receipt of electronic-based OTC confirmations from trading counterparties
Reviewing swap confirmations covering all OTC products such as total return swaps, equity options, structured equity products, convertible bond options, credit defaults, rates and fixed income products
Managing the settlement of swap cash flows associated with OTC products, including unwinds, quarterly fees, resets, upfront fees, coupons and premiums
Assisting in monitoring daily trade capture of OTC trades and exception queue monitoring
Reviewing corporate action bookings and dividends/coupons to ensure correctly affecting position
Assisting in development and implementation projects which promote automation and efficiency as well as work with IT in the development/enhancement of trade entry
Processing all aspects of periodic resets for vanilla and exotic IRS, CDS, and TRS products
Carrying out complex activities with significant financial, client, and/or internal business impact
Communicating effectively with both internal partners and clients, tailoring info to audience as required |

Required Skills: |
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and procedures, familiar with financial markets and instruments and Hedge Fund structures
• Client service experience
• Awareness of EMIR regulatory impact on OTC middle office
• Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines in a demanding and fast growing department
• Highly flexible and adaptable to change

Experience: |
• Proven work experience, preferably in OTC Middle Office or Operations
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proven team player, taking ownership for own role while contributing to wider team efforts
• 5-8 years relevant experience |
Required Education: |
• Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting or related subject |
