| Description: |
Financial Accountant
The Role:
An excellent opportunity has arisen in the financial reporting team for a qualified Accountant to have the opportunity to be a part of a successful independent investment organization. You will be responsible for the day to day accounting tasks, including monthly management accounting and preparation of financial statements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Preparation of monthly management accounts to set deadline which includes detailed analytical review of the balance sheets and P&Ls,
• Preparation of Balance sheet reconciliations ensuring an reconciling items/errors are identified and resolved as quickly as possible
• Monthly management reporting to local management and to group within set deadlines and prompt response to any accounting queries from stakeholders
• Support all audits including corporate, statutory and SOX audits
• Annual & Interim Regulatory reporting to the CBI and quarterly to CSSF
• Preparation and filing of VAT returns in line with revenue guidelines and corporate tax reporting to the group on a monthly basis
• Communication for local stakeholders, Including finance staff and local management
• Contribute to team meetings and improvement, by suggesting improvements and amending processes to improve efficiency
• Engage with non-finance colleague on a cross functional basis to support ad hoc local, European and Global initiatives

| Required Skills: |
• Month end accounts preparation experience
• Preferably from a practice background with multinational Financial Service experience in a corporate accounting environment
|
| Experience: |
• Knowledge of Oracle R12 - Key Advantage
• Knowledge of US GAAP, Lux GAAP and IFRS
• Excellent working knowledge of Excel (lOOKUPS, pivot tables) and MS Word
|
| Required Education: |
Qualifications:
• Qualified Accountant (ACA,ACCA) Preferably with at least 2 years post qualified experience in practice and/or the financial service industry
