| Description: |
My client is looking for a Financial Accounting Specialist to become an active member of the Financial Reporting team with responsibility for the smooth operation of the day to day accounting tasks including monthly management accounting and preparation of statutory financial statements.
Responsibilities
• Preparation of monthly management accounts to set deadlines, including detailed analytical review of the balance sheets and P&Ls, preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations ensuring any reconciling items/errors are identified and resolved as quickly as possible
• Monthly management reporting to local management and to group within set deadlines and prompt response to any accounting queries from stakeholders
• Support all audits including corporate, statutory and SOX audits
• Annual & Interim Regulatory reporting to the CBI and quarterly reporting to CSSF
• Preparation and filing of VAT returns in line with revenue guidelines and corporate tax reporting to group on a monthly basis
• Maintain effective levels of service and communication for local stakeholders, including finance staff and local management
• Actively contribute to team meetings and continuous improvement, by suggesting improvements and amending processes to improve efficiency, where appropriate
• Engage with non-Finance colleagues on a cross functional basis to support ad hoc local, European and Global initiatives

| Required Skills: |
• Extensive month end accounts preparation experience
• Preferably from a practice background with multinational Financial Services experience in a corporate accounting environment
|
| Experience: |
• Knowledge of Oracle R12 would be a key advantage
• Knowledge of US GAAP, Lux GAAP and IFRS
• Excellent working knowledge of Excel (LOOKUPS, pivot tables) and MS Word
|
| Required Education: |
• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA) preferably with at least 2 years post qualified experience in practice and/or the Financial Services industry |
