| Description: |
Financial Accountant
My client is a medium sized Dublin City based Asset Management Company, currently hiring for a 12 month FTC.
Sitting within the wider Corporate Accounting team, you’ll be responsible for management accounts prep, balance sheet analysis, profit and loss, tax & regulatory Returns, assisting in audit support and financial reporting among much else.
Ideally 2 years PQE and practice trained with further experience in a similar role in financial services you will become part of a highly collaborative team in a company with an excellent reputation for work life balance with one of the lowest staff attrition rates in the sector.
The Role:
• Preparation of monthly management accounts to set deadlines, including detailed analytical review of the balance sheets and P&Ls, preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations ensuring any reconciling items/errors are identified and resolved as quickly as possible
• Monthly management reporting to local management and to group within set deadlines and prompt response to any accounting queries from stakeholders
• Support all audits including corporate, statutory and SOX audits
• Annual & Interim Regulatory reporting to the CBI and quarterly reporting to CSSF
• Preparation and filing of VAT returns in line with revenue guidelines and corporate tax reporting to group on a monthly basis
• Maintain effective levels of service and communication for local stakeholders, including finance staff and local management
• Actively contribute to team meetings and continuous improvement, by suggesting improvements and amending processes to improve efficiency, where appropriate
• Engage with non-Finance colleagues on a cross functional basis to support ad hoc local, European and Global initiatives

| Required Skills: |
• Knowledge of Oracle R12 would be a key advantage
• Knowledge of US GAAP, Lux GAAP and IFRS
• Excellent working knowledge of Excel (LOOKUPS, pivot tables) and MS Word
|
| Experience: |
• Extensive month end accounts preparation experience
• Preferably from a practice background with multinational Financial Services experience in a corporate accounting environment
|
| Required Education: |
• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA) preferably with at least 2 years post qualified experience in practice and/or the Financial Services industry |
