Middle Office Analyst & Middle Office Supervisor

Company Description

The middle office team in performs all trading desk support responsibilities required of large multi-strategy hedge funds. The Operations Analyst will work within the middle office team on such functions as trade and cash settlements, collateral management, issues resolution and valuations processing.

The position will expose the Operations Analyst to all financial markets and products traded globally including highly complex derivative instruments. The Operations Analyst will work closely in the Settlements and confirmations of all product types among other MO functions.

Key Accountabilities of the Role

Confirm the trade and cash details of trades in the market

Confirm and process the cash settlement of Resets, Option Premiums and Net cash figures

Ensure the accuracy of all trade bookings, end of day pricing, and client deliverables

Effectively communicate with clients assisting with all systems and trade related queries

Work closely with the various middle office, NAV, IT, risk, and investor service teams

Institute innovative technological solutions to alleviate client concerns in conjunction with our business development team

Required Skills: 1 – 3 years’ of experience within a high demand fast paced work environment including experience in the Confirmation and Settlement process for a wide range of product types

The candidate must be able to interact with different market stakeholders to resolve position and cash breaks in a timely fashion
Experience: Ability to multi-task and succeed in a results oriented high pressure environment with an understanding of the need for 100% accuracy

Self-motivated and solid team player with a client-service oriented approach

Desire to learn and embrace new technology

Strong Excel skills with proven problem solving ability
Required Education: Candidates must have a minimum 2.2 honours degree in business, accounting, or finance
