Job Title: Financial Reporting Accountant Excellent work/life balance

Financial Reporting Accountant - Excellent work/life balance

My client, a boutique fund house with a global reach now has a new requirement for an experienced financial reporting accountant for their base in Dublin 2. This is a permanent role that comes with excellent work/life balance and the best benefits on the market including but not limited to; mortgage subsidy, lunch allowance of over €1,000 per year, full health insurance, pension, tax saver travel scheme and 24 days holidays.

Requirements

• Preparation of funds’ annual and semi-annual statutory financial statements in a timely, accurate and efficient fashion. This involves drafting the financial statements and preparing a file supporting all figures within them.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Responding to auditor queries in a comprehensive and timely manner
• Liaising with Fund Accounting, Transfer Agency & Trustee Departments on common issues
• Ensuring all information relevant to Financial Reporting is provided for inclusion in Board Packs for presentation to the Directors.
• Filing Financial Statements with the appropriate regulators and stock exchanges in accordance with deadlines
• Resolve and escalate as appropriate any issues
• Tax filing with Irish Revenue and assist Tax Advisors with non-Irish tax filings.


Required Skills: • Up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS, US GAAP & FRS 102) and Regulations (UCITS/AIFMD) that impact the preparation of financial statements for funds.
• Ideally qualified/part-qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA)

Experience: • Mimimum of 2 years’ experience within the financial reporting department of a fund administrator, with direct experience of preparing financial statements for funds.
• Ideally suited to qualified or almost qualified accountant
Required Education: Degree Qualified
