Senior Sales Manager- Boutique Custodian
This is a senior organisational role with a global custodian bank that includes establishing a business development strategy, working at the most senior levels of client prospects to deliver this strategy and leading the internal approval process for all local and inbound opportunities. It requires excellent collaborative skills to drive opportunities with colleagues in other locations for the benefit of the overall firm.
This senior position requires extensive functional expertise, leadership, initiative, creativity, and management. In addition, you must demonstrate excellent client communication and relationship skills
• The responsibilities of this dynamic role fall into four major areas:
Direct business development for Ireland. (‑Local Opportunities”). Oversight of indirect business development for Ireland. (‑Inbound Opportunities”). Assistance with business development in other jurisdictions. (‑Overseas Opportunities”)Management of assigned campaign(s). (‑Campaign Leadership”)Risk Control and Leadership
• You will have direct responsibility for the development of business opportunities from Ireland
• Working with the Head of Sales for Europe and the Country Manager, you will establish ongoing future sales budgets
• Developing campaigns for the delivery of projected sales targets
• Building a pipeline of qualified prospects, based on strong commercial insights on trends in the industry, regulatory changes and client investment strategy
• Identifying and build strong relationships with all key decision makers in the prospect organisation (including at C-Level)
• You will have direct responsibility for the oversight of business opportunities that will contract with client’s entities in Ireland, but are sourced and developed in other offices
• Providing supporting materials to international colleagues to assist them in developing such opportunities
• Overseeing the fee proposals and presentation to management for such opportunities
• Delivery of campaign revenue targets
• Build strong, reliable pipeline to deliver 3 year goals
• Reporting to the Monthly Executive Committee Meeting
• Reporting to the Quarterly Board Meetings
• The Senior Sales Manager is responsible for the RFP process

Required Skills: • Consultative, strategic sales experience, approach and methodology.
• A credible executive able to gain the confidence and trust at the highest levels within our industry
• Ability to successfully operate within a global team
• Experience and evidence of executing an Insight-Led Sales Strategy
• Experience of deploying technology to support sales activity (including CRM and knowledge management tools)
• Appropriate custody/fund accounting/transfer agency/securities lending/ foreign exchange product knowledge; Cross product knowledge a big plus
Experience: • Successful recent track record of managing complex sales processes.
• Strong understanding of Asset Management Market
• Understands and can describe the full spectrum of major products including custody/fund accounting/transfer agency/securities lending/ foreign exchange etc.
• Excellent client-facing skills and presentation skills
• Strong knowledge of the regulatory environment and other external market forces impacting the asset management industry
• Consultative, strategic sales experience, approach and methodology.
Required Education: • BA/BS degree and/or equivalent in a relevant area
