Job Title: Financial Reporting Analyst - Newly Qualified Accountant

Financial Reporting – IFRS & US GAAP

My client, leading investment servicing powerhouse with a global presence, are consistently streamlining processes, improving service levels, and building relationships with new clients, and are keen to find subject matter experts who love a challenge for their teams.

Joining a diverse team spread across multiple offices, you will be preparing financial statements under IFRS and US GAAP predominately with some FRS101 & FRS102, and occasionally, some Lux GAAP.

Ideally, your financial statement preparation experience is from funds but if not, industry will be considered and top rates are on offer – there may be scope for permanency and long-term progression for the right people.

Responsibilities

Responsible for all aspects of the fund financial reporting services (including preparing high quality financial statements and underlying accounts files) to specified clients, in an efficient and speedy manner in line with section standards and procedures, including the review of files/first draft financials prepared offshore.
Resolve queries arising from auditors, clients, third parties or as a result of file review in a timely fashion. Maintain strong relationships with all external parties.
Liaise with internal teams (Valuations, TA etc,) on behalf of the auditors.
Plan the accounts preparation/audit process and the timetables for assigned funds in advance of year/period end ensuring that all parties are in agreement. Monitor progress of accounts preparation and audit against timetable for assigned funds and following up to ensure that all deadlines are met. 
Ensure files are completed, signed, filed and distributed to all parties within prescribed deadlines.
Keep up to date with local technical/regulatory developments
This role interacts internally with the Valuations teams, Transfer Agency teams and with the Client Services teams. It interacts externally with the Clients, the Client's management, the Client's Corporate Secretary, the external auditors and with relevant regulatory bodies.

Experience: Practice trained accountants (ideally within Big 4) or accountants with experience within FS/Funds firms

Client exposure within Financial Services / Funds preferred but candidates with corporate audit experience will also be considered.
