Description: |
The Role
Rare opportunity for an experienced senior depositary manager/ senior trustee manager to join a new start up in Dublin city centre. My client is a prestigious bank who are establishing a brand new function in Dublin. This firm services top tier Asset Managers, Brokers, Corporate Support Businesses, Auditors and Portfolio Managers for banking and depoistary services.
About you
You'll be a confident leader, ambitious, understand the Irish Financial Services market. You can comfortably aid in the design and implementation of processes for the local office and manage projects, particularly during initial phases.
Upon commencement there will be some travel to the Head Office, which is based in Europe, for some first hand experience in what the bank does.
About the day to day
Responsibilities
Act as the depositary point of contact to both, internal and external stakeholders regarding oversight duties
Assist and manage the development and implementation of depositary functions.
Own the depositary data management process and ensure the Database is accurate at all times.
Manage operational team performing cash flow monitoring, investment and borrowing restriction checks, Oversight of administration and safekeeping of other assets.
Develop, agree and maintain up to date team procedures and controls manual for assigned functions.
Attendance at client service and board meetings
Ability to identify, escalate and take ownership of the resolution of any issues which may result in key operational, financial, regulatory and fiduciary breaches.
Manage any assigned projects within the business from time to time (e.g. new regulations, process improvements and strategic direction).
Create, allocate, monitor and support the workflows for the team ‑ including adherence to all mandatory training requirements.
Conduct performance management and career development processes. |

Experience: |
Minimum 10 years’ relevant financial services experience, with at least 5 years Depositary/Trustee industry experience.
A minimum of 5 years managing and developing a high performing a team within fund administration, custody or depositary/trustee department.
Strong experience in financial services is essential with experience in building a team around you. |
Desirable Experience: |
Experience in project management & delivery of small to medium size projects is an advantage |
Required Education: |
Third level qualification in Business/Finance/Economics or related area. |
