Description: |
Head of Risk Transformation
Our client is a significant Investment firm with a strong presence in Dublin. They are currently seeking a Head of Risk Transformation to join their Global Business Risk Function for an 18 month contract.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support the organisation ensuring that risk s are managed in line with the Group’s risk appetite and resolve issues satisfactorily
• Ensure that risk frameworks are embedded and complied with
• Support and drive the development and oversight of a well-controlled operating environment and risk management framework
• Drive the rollout of and delivery of risk control self-assessments
• Identify, assess, manage and report emerging risks and ensure that these are carried out in a timely manner
• Facilitate and support the implementation and rollout of the risk structure to ensure that risk data is effectively captured and maintained
• Liaise with other oversight departments to ensure a consistent and effective approach to address identified weaknesses in the framework
• Partner with global risk teams in the second line of defence, assisting with the development and evolution of risk management methodologies in line with best practice and regulatory requirements
• Assess and develop best practice, working with senior management to embed risk awareness within the business
• Conduct risk reviews in collaboration with other members of the Risk department as required
• Provide operational risk oversight in initiatives by way of risk support and input into complex projects and other risk initiatives
• Develop excellent partnerships with key stakeholders and ensure clear understanding of the future state and the milestones
• Challenge existing practices and recommend risk solutions in consideration of good customer journeys and outcomes
• Embed risk management frameworks and systems within the business and drive continuous improvement and excellence
• Coordinate incident and events and ensure that appropriate escalation takes place and mitigation activities are actioned
• Continuously improve risk monitoring and reporting to key stakeholders and committees
Key Skills/Qualifications:
• Demonstrable professional experience in Operational risk including using tools and techniques and Financial Risk experience is essential
• Educated to degree level in Business Management, Finance, etc.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills as well as excellent knowledge of risk management within Financial Services
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
