About my client
My client is a long established consumer finance business with heritage and history. It has been serving customers in Ireland for 2 decades and in 2017 they began implementation of a significant customer growth strategy and has since been making strides in market share. They currently have a headcount of almost 200 staff in Ireland, with plans to grow this further in the coming year.
About the role
Liaising with other compliance, risk and legal teams across the 3 lines of defence, you’ll be responsible for providing advice on compliance requirements across different business lines with an initial focus on commercial and marketing to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, strategic partnership agreements and business best practice in the market whilst promoting a top-down culture of compliance awareness. Business strategy review from a compliance perspective, reporting and providing recommendations managing to final approval stages and testing and improving upon the established compliance framework also take up part of the day to day. It is a role very much strategic in nature.
About you
You’ll have at least 5 years of relevant experience in a compliance function within the financial services space such as banking, consumer credit or lending operations would be preferred and some knowledge of insurance related products would be beneficial.
You’ll lead from the front, and be an influencer to the board and senior stakeholders ensuring you can make the required business change. You’ll also have experience in dealing with the regulator.
