Head of Market Risk
A leading Financial Services company that are growing their business in Dublin are seeking an experienced Head of Market Risk to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the business conducts its activities in a controlled way that benefits the organisation and its clients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Identify, measure and aggregate market risk for the organisation
• Set and manage the market risk appetite including market risk limits; at asset class and portfolio level
• Monitor and manage market risk through value-at-risk, exposure and sensitivities and stress testing
• Lead the market risk team, set its agenda, its development strategy and scope
• Be the senior risk contact for all market risk matters for management and regulators
• Participate with various partners in the development of the infrastructure and control framework for market risk
• Design and deliver the market risk strategy approved by the Board in accordance with business purpose and values
• Understand key risks within the businesses and escalate any issues to senior management in a timely manner
• Maintain a close regulatory interface with all relevant regulatory bodies and internal parties
• Participate in firm wide risk initiatives
• Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements.
