Description: |
Incredible opportunity to join a global financial services firm based in Dublin2. You will provide assurance to the Heads, Local Territory Heads and Directors of the insurance entities that adequate compliance set-ups are in place & are consistent with Group Compliance requirements. You will also contribute to the protection of the Group reputation in the territory. You will be point of contact for Head of Territory on compliance matters in relation to insurance related activities for three entities
Responsibilities
The Head of Insurance Compliance is responsible for the activities of the three insurance entities operating in Ireland
Being an approved Pre Controlled Function Head of Compliance (PCF 12) as per Fit and Probity CBI regime for the three entities and as such establish a consolidated vision of territory for insurance compliance risks
Lead, manage and organise the Compliance function within three entities by:
-Developing and maintaining strong compliance culture
-Coordinating outsourcing agreement with compliance resources when required
-Exercising delegated rights, as well as escalation and alert duties
-Work in cooperation with Head of Compliance Territory and business heads to ensure consistency.
Organise, prepare and be a permanent member of Compliance Committee at least twice a year for each entity and maintain close relations with the regulators in addition to being a key interlocutor with the regulatory authorities
Adapt policies, procedures and control plan for Compliance within the three entities
Ensuring internal compliance for the three entities particularly in regards to organisation, risk assessment and professional ethics
Control the effective implementation of compliance tools, systems, associated policies and control set-up and contribute to the Compliance permanent control process as necessary
Establish and monitor a yearly compliance training plan for the three insurance entities in line with Group and local regulations and standards.
Set up a collaborative coordination with the Territory Compliance Officer in relation to three entities & functional reporting lines to Business Heads of the three entities as required
Ensuring the Financial Security process of the three entities, particularly around organisation, permanent control, exemption, training, etc. |

Experience: |
Big 4 Audit background preferred (10+ years’ experience)
General knowledge of applicable local regulatory framework and its evolution, particularly to insurance activities
Pre Controlled Function Head of Compliance (PCF 12)
Knowledge of compliance issues and challenges specific to insurance domain for both direct insurance & reinsurance |
