A little about the job
A brand new role created as a result of a key piece of business recently obtained, you will be PCF12 for a single MiFID entity and report directly to the CEO and existing head of Compliance as well as collaborating with partners in the UK and US
A high profile role in a global player, whilst your job will be standalone, you will sit amongst an existing and well established compliance department though there will be no people management
With no responsibility for AML or Compliance Monitoring, this is an ideal opportunity to either move up the ladder from your existing position or add to your skillset from a purely advisory perspective
You will have C-level interaction and there is flexibility in terms of work practice
The Requirements:
Pure Compliance experience outside of AML/Monitoring
Solid understanding of collateral repo & experience in a MiFID entity
5 - 10 years’ experience within Investment banking / trading / securities
Ability to utilise initiative with minimal supervision
Brief overview of day to day
Ensure regulatory obligations are met ‑ coordinating change, reviewing contemporary legislation, communicating with the wider business
Play an active role in projects such as regulatory change ‑ exercising diligence where operational controls and processes are concerned
Attend entity board meetings and report to its operating committee
Communicate regulatory risk & prepare associated reports with board and clients in mind
Collaborate with senior management regulatory committees
Incident meetings related to breaches
Attend client meetings as a key member of the Compliance department on an ad-hoc basis |
