Are you an experience Payroll Manager/Specialist looking to make the next step in your career to a leading financial services firm? If you have payroll experience within a practice or service provider and are looking to make a move to industry this is the role for you!
My client, a leading financial services firm, are currently seeking a global payroll manager with exposure to the EMEA regions to join their city centre team. The ideal candidate should have exposure to managing payroll providers across a wide range of jurisdictions. This role represents an excellent opportunity to join a firm that offers excellent upward career potential and will suit an ambitious motivated person who is willing and interested in getting involved in all aspects of the role.
Main Responsibilities:
Ensure accurate collation of monthly salary, taxes, company payments & deductions and employee benefits programme data for multiple entities across Europe and selected global entities
Ensure monthly payroll changes are collated and processed accurately by the relevant Payroll outsource provider, managing monthly processing, approval and reconciliation.
Responsible for ensuring payroll is processed in line with revenue compliance rules and best practice and partake in continuous development to ensure up to date knowledge of tax changes or guidance. Proactively work with management to ensure accurate flow of information across departments.
Deliver a proactive risk and control culture, embedding risk, control, audit and compliance requirements within all processes, including support to all internal and external audits.
Maintain both internal and external payroll performance reporting;
Plan and coordinate additional annual activities and services;
Maintain regulatory requirements and legislation update knowledge for relevant jurisdictions
Skills and Attributes:
Previous payroll and finance experience with a proven track record in exposure to large volume multijurisdictional payrolls;
A detailed understanding of social security and local tax requirements;
Familiarity with multinational organisation benefits including pensions, share schemes, bonuses and commissions;
Detailed understanding of all payroll stakeholders and their needs;
Very strong understanding of personnel cost and all payroll related accounting output;
Excellent computer skills (especially MS Office);
Familiarity with various global suppliers and their systems and processes;
Ability to meet tight deadlines consistently and to take ownership of role;
Good interpersonal skills;
Additional language a plus but not required;
High level of initiative, with sense of responsibility and confidentiality;
Relevant third level qualification;
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar level role or minimum 5 years’ experience in Global Payroll at a specialist level. |
