This is an ideal first role post-practice, whether leaving at Audit Senior or Assistant Manager level. Or for a candidate with existing industry experience looking for career progression. My client is a leading fund admin firm with a strong market reputation and on-going expansion due to the acquisition of new clients.
The Financial Reporting Supervisor is part of a specialised financial reporting team which will take part in the preparation of financial statements for strategic clients and advise the NAV department in the preparation of financial statements. They will work under the supervision of the Financial Reporting Manager and/or Director running strategic projects from start to completion. They will assist in the development of key Investment Manager and Auditor relationships.
Responsibilities
Drafting timetables for financial reporting projects
Prepare and review financial reporting statements ensuring they are drafted in accordance with the relevant GAAP of the fund
Coordinate and chair a weekly call between the Auditors and Investment Manager to track the status of the financial reporting project and resolve queries in relation to GAAP or local regulations
Build a detailed personal knowledge of GAAP and Regulations which best fit the ethos of the Investment Manager
Ensure all queries from the Investment Manager and the Auditors on the financial statements are resolved on a timely basis
Develop template financial statements for the NAV department |

| Experience: |
Requirements
Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) -ideally Big 4/Top 10 trained within FS/Funds
A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Detailed knowledge of US GAAP and IRFS
Strong technical skills and attention to detail along with good knowledge of relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements
Detailed experience developed across audit and financial statement review, either through audit engagements in Practice or within FS |
