The Financial Reporting Department is responsible for the preparation of annual and semi-annual financial statements for our clients and for the management of all aspects of the audit process
The Department has responsibility for a broad range of funds and produces financial statements under various GAAP's including Irish GAAP, IFRS and US GAAP
The Financial Reporting Analyst II is responsible for ensuring that the preparation of the first draft financial statements for a range of funds administered are produced in an accurate, timely and efficient manner
The Financial reporting Analyst II is responsible for ensuring all timetabled deliverables are met. Develops and maintains current client relationships
Assists in the development and implementation of internal policies and controls
Responsible for all aspects of the fund financial reporting services (including preparing high quality financial statements and underlying accounts files) to specified clients, in an efficient and speedy manner in line with section standards and procedures, including the review of files/first draft financials prepared offshore
Resolve queries arising from auditors, clients, third parties or as a result of file review in a timely fashion. Maintain strong relationships with all external parties.
Liaise with internal teams (Valuations, TA etc,) on behalf of the auditors
Plan the accounts preparation/audit process and the timetables for assigned funds in advance of year/period end ensuring that all parties are in agreement. Monitor progress of accounts preparation and audit against timetable for assigned funds and following up to ensure that all deadlines are met
Ensure files are completed, signed, filed and distributed to all parties within prescribed deadlines
Keep up to date with local technical/regulatory developments
This role needs to understand how the various teams in interact, to produce the final Net Asset Values, and the importance of filing of financial statements with regulators, stock exchanges, etc., and distribution of the financial statements to investors in a timely fashion
The individual needs to be someone who is independent and keeps abreast with local technical/regulatory developments. Familiarisation with various accounting standards is a basic requirement. Interpretation of those standards need to be applied to the financial statement preparation process
The financial statements are provided to the Fund's management, and also to the external auditors where applicable. Any problems with the financial statements could have a reputational and/or financial impact on This role interacts internally with the Valuations teams, Transfer Agency teams and with the Client Services teams. It interacts externally with the Clients, the Client's management, the Client's Corporate Secretary, the external auditors and with relevant regulatory bodies |
