About my Client
My client, an established Financial Services and Fund Administration provider is currently seeking to appoint an Enterprise and Operational Risk Officer for their Dublin office. A company with an excellent reputation, impressive heritage, large global footprint and one with an extremely capable and experienced Senior Management which interact on a global scale.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the local Head of Function, this role sits predominantly within the Second Line of Defence with a focus on Risk Management for 3 separate legal entities which include a Depositary, a Credit Institution and a Fund Administrator. You’ll work closely and maintain effective dialogue with stakeholders across the operational business contributing to the continued development of the risk management framework, culture and practices ensuring they remain fit for purpose as the business continues to progress and develop in a regularly changing environment. You’ll be responsible for scheduling and reporting on risk related requirements at Board level which can include tool updates, risk assessments (appetite, register, and capital planes), Corporate Risk changes, findings on risk exposures etc.
There is a significant opportunity to grow in the position, as well as the chance to be involved in a refresh of the Risk Appetite, Risk Register and Capital Plans Risk Framework next year, which is a significant project offering excellent experience.
About You
You will be a hands on Operational or Enterprise Risk practitioner with about 3-5 years’ experience within a risk function, ideally Second Line; in a large organisation within Financial Services. Any risk oversight function or background in embedded risk, or alternatively Risk & Assurance from Big 4 will be considered. The hiring manager is open minded. You can interpret and communicate complex risk appetite data, deal with large data sets, provide reports accurately and on time. |
