Are you a Qualified (or Finalist) Accountant in either practice or industry looking to join a large SME with multiple locations throughout Ireland? Based in their Letterkenny Head Office the role sits within an established but growing Finance team.

This role is an Assistant Financial Controller position reporting to the Financial Controller and has oversight for the day-to-day management of several entities of the group. Key areas of responsibly will include preparation of Monthly Management Accounts, completing same in a timely, compliant and accurate manner and preparation of annual accounts to trial balance.
Responsibilities
Responsible for financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting
Financial Reporting (Managing Year-end Annual Financial Accounts)
Management Accounting (Detailed monthly accounts, P&L, Cash-flow forecasting, etc.)
Oversee Banking & Cash Flow
Preparing for and liaising with external auditors
Compliance/Tax: Oversee Statutory Tax returns VAT, PAYE, etc. |

Requirements
Qualified/Part-Qualified (Finalist) accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA/CPA)
Experience of management and annual accounts preparation
Proficiency in MS Office
A working knowledge of SAGE accounting package
Strong numerical capabilities with good attention to detail
General business acumen
Team work orientated, and flexibility is required
Be available for occasional travel (primarily to conduct on site audits on group businesses) |
