Description: |
Incredible opportunity for a Senior Operational Risk Specialist to move into a VP/Director level role with a global asset servicing firm based in Dublin 2.
This role will span Fund Administration & Depositary companies for legal entity deliverables & will involve project work & attendance at board committees.
Integral to this role is responsibility for ensuring that risk information & analysis, in addition to risk training provided to members is sufficient. In summary, the Ireland Senior Risk Manager is accountable for ensuring that the data used by LEs to assess its risks is fit for purpose at all times.
Responsibilities:
Work with Legal Entity stakeholders across support and operational business areas in order provide an independent review of the LE individual business units risks both on business as usual and ad hoc basis.
Provide oversight and challenge of the LEs systems and controls and review of the LEs external risk reporting (to regulators or in annual accounts).
Identify, schedule and deliver the risk related legal entity requirements efficiently.
The quality of delivery should be considered suitable for Board and external party review.
Schedule and deliver all governance reporting requirements to the legal entity Boards and Committees. Attendance at Board and Committee to provide challenge and leadership as befits the role.
Assist as required on risk framework tool updates, risk assessments or participation in line of business governance fora.
Identify and assess for impact Corporate Risk changes and requirements. Incorporate appropriately impacting changes efficiently.
Investigation /reporting to LE governing bodies on risk exposures relative to risk appetite and the extent to which the risks inherent in proposed business strategy, significant transactions, client business and other decisions are consistent with the risk appetite.
Prepare for and participate in internal audit and external party examinations such as Regulatory visits as may be required.
Project based work and management of ad hoc teams will form a significant element of the role.
Typical projects in this position will include:
Maintenance of LE risk registers and associated policies, procedures & reporting
Review/re-definition of risk appetite statements (annually, or more frequently as required)
Establishing and maintaining an Emerging Risk process for Irish LEs actively fostering risk awareness & the clients risk management model
Essential Requirements:
Circa 8-10 years’+ experience in Risk (operational & fund administration/depositary background preferred)
Experienced in Risk Appetite Data & Scenario Analysis (Data Modelling)
Experienced in the review of MI and reporting (not stress testing)
Project management experience
Educational Background in Risk/Compliance/Audit
People management experience |
