Job Title: Accounting Team Manager - Financial Services
Location: Dublin

Remuneration: €65000 - €75000

Description:
This is a senior accounting manager position for a leading multinational firm which will suit a qualified accountant with 3+ years PQE and strong staff management experience. Good oversight experience of a multinational finance function is of strong benefit. This role has a particular emphasis on client relationship management and client servicing, Tax and oversight of statutory filings. A high level of stakeholder management and effective relationship management is essential. Team size is 4 ‑ 6 qualified/part-qualified accountants managing 100+ legal entities. Services include preparation of management accounts, preparation of financial statements, arranging audits, tax compliance include corporation tax, VAT, CRS, FATCA, other compliance including EMIR, corporate governance including company secretary, board meeting management and document execution. The role holder will be responsible for leading and motivating this team and managing the delivery of our services.

Responsibilities:

To manage an accounting services team of 4-6 qualified/part-qualified accountants providing consistent quality services to agreed deadlines across a diversified client/product base with a strong presence in the market. Clients include corporate treasury, securitisation and aircraft leasing clients. Client products include loans, deposits, bonds, derivatives, operating leases and finance leases.
To manage tracking and reporting of service delivery and performance metrics to the Senior Management Team, to ensure team accountability and quality of service
Ensure the timely and accurate resolution of any internal or external issues and ensure effective open and clear communication processes are in place
To understand and be expert in and anticipate changes to relevant accounting standards, laws, practices, treaties and regulations to underpin the differentiated service delivery
To ensure that your team is continually developing their expertise, to encourage self- learning within the team and that they maintain client and technical knowledge
Establish and maintain sound motivational people management practices. Ensure employee development is aligned to business objectives and oversee and measure effective work processes and practices within the team.
To challenge and promote efficient use of our systems and processes to enable growth and facilitate the expansion of our capabilities
To develop a knowledge and understanding of all service offerings in the division, across all locations, to encourage leveraged business opportunities and cross selling of service offerings
Active involvement in ad-hoc projects as assigned
To obtain internal and external stakeholder feedback and drive increases in client satisfaction and engagement
Requirements:

An accounting qualification is required ‑ ACA or ACCA or CIMA
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the financial services industry
Proven technical skills in accounting and relevant regulatory topics
Proven people management skills
Proven ability to act on own initiative and clear evidence of driving initiatives to completion
Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with an ability to communicate effectively (written & oral) at all levels
Strong delegation skills and ability to work effectively in a fast paced, complex and dynamic environment
Ability to work independently and as part of a management team, demonstrating good organizational and analytical skills
