| Description: |
Are you an ambitious part-qualified accountant with some financial services experience looking to branch into a broad finance role? This role is focused on assisting with the production of monthly management accounts & statistics, compilation of regulatory returns and financial reporting for the client.
Responsibilities:
Implement the day-to-day financial control as directed by the Manager - Financial Control, with particular focus on:-
Completion of month-end processes to produce detailed accounts, statistics and variance analysis for submission to Group Head Office.
Completion of monthly, quarterly and annual CBI regulatory returns.
Prepare quarterly income forecasts and an annual income budget. Investigate, analyse and explain variations in income and expenses from month to month, quarter to quarter, year to year and against budget.
Prepare and collate monthly management papers for Senior Management meetings and quarterly papers for Board and Supervisory meetings.
Assist in the preparation and delivery of annual statutory accounts and respond to all external and internal auditor and tax advisor queries;
Prepare and collate monthly statistics (e.g. aged debtors, value & movement of assets, largest clients by income) for management reporting;
Assist with the preparation and submission of bi-monthly VAT returns.
Identify opportunities for innovation and performance improvement in process and systems within the Finance Department
Resolve and escalate, as appropriate, any issues; and
Contribute to ad hoc projects as required.
Experience/Education:
Part-Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CPA / CIMA)
2 years’ + experience within a similar position.
Minimum of third level qualification in an Accounting or a related field.
Must have excellent Excel skills and to be proficient in PowerPoint and Word.
Exposure to SAS (Statistical Analysis System), OneSumX (a regulatory reporting tool) is advantageous. |
