| Description: |
Due to continued growth and market expansion my client, a leading European specialist insurer, are seeking to add a Part-Qualified Accountant / Accounting Technician to their Dublin based Finance team. The ideal candidate will have hands a few years’ experience working in a finance role (Accounts Payables, Receivable, etc.) and hold an Accounts technician qualification. Procurement experience is an added benefit.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable
Ensuring compliance with internal purchase ordering policy
Controlling the issue of purchase order numbers
Matching of invoices to purchase orders and posting invoices
Obtaining approval for payment according to internal authorisation limits
Undertaking Know-Your-Customer due diligence prior to on boarding of vendors
Filing and archiving of invoices.
Maintenance of AP sub ledger.
Accounts Receivable
Raising invoices where required for intercompany customers.
Aging of outstanding balances and escalating as required
General Ledger
Journal postings
Maintain the company’s asset register for additions, disposals and depreciation.
Track expense reports relating to company credit cards
Procurement
Implementation of the company procurement control plan
Coordinate with group on KYS & procurement requirements
Updating and maintenance of procedure documentation
Requirements:
Accounting Technician qualification or equivalent preferable
Third level degree preferably in business/finance discipline
Accounting/Finance background with a minimum of 2 years’ experience
Familiarity with online banking systems, AP/AR experience
Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office especially Excel |
