The Role:
Are you looking to get to the forefront of fund accounting? Establish connections with Investment Advisors, Relationship Managers or Industry Experts? Maybe you want to be at the top of Financial Services? If so, then this role offers the next major steps in the right direction.
The Fund Accountant is responsible for maintaining the accounting books and records of its fund clients, acts as intermediary between the funds and the investment advisors, and prepares financial statements & regulatory reports for the funds. Other responsibilities include:
Performing security & cash reconciliations to fund custodians, Prime Broker and Transfer Agents
Calculating fund expenses and Net Asset Values (NAV’s)
Maintaining accounting records
Meet client and investor reporting deliverables and deadlines
Assist in adhoc tasks/projects
Requirements:
You will have excellent interpersonal skills with strong communication and a focus on customer service. You are able to meet strict deadlines efficiently, and not afraid to take ownership of assigned responsibilities. You must be a team player with a positive ‘can do’ attitude. Strong PC proficiency is required. Previous experience working in fund operations with knowledge of Advent Geneva and/or Sungard Investran systems is an advantage but not essential. |
