| Description: |
The Role:
Preparation of funds’ annual and semi-annual statutory financial statements in a timely, accurate and efficient fashion
Ensuring all information relevant to Financial Reporting is provided for inclusion in Board Packs for presentation to the Directors
Filing Financial Statements with the appropriate regulators and stock exchanges in accordance with deadlines
Overseeing and reviewing the distribution of Financial Statements / Interim Financial Statements
Resolve and escalate as appropriate any issues
Supervise, train, coach and mentor junior colleagues/new employees, develop and motivate staff within their sub-unit
Tax filing with Irish Revenue and assist Tax Advisors with non-Irish tax filings
Requirements:
Up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS, US GAAP & FRS 102) and Regulations (UCITS/AIFMD) that impact the preparation of financial statements for funds
Accounting / Finance qualification or part qualified Accountant
Strong oral and written communication skills - comfortable dealing with internal / external stakeholders
Strong organizational skills
Account preparation experience
Knowledge of the Advent Geneva system preferred
Knowledge of Sungard InvestOne system preferred |
