About my Client
My client is a leading, privately owned investment manager with $300bn is assets under management with a focus on Hedge, Private Equity, Fixed Income and Equity Funds. In the advent of Brexit, they have recently opened an additional office in Dublin.
They a highly coveted employer, with an excellent reputation in the market not just in terms or service provision, but in their high rates of staff retention coupled with excellent remuneration and benefits.
About the Role
This is a newly created position focusing on the Oversight of Fund Distribution activities across the EU. This is a control function with Designated Person responsibilities. Reporting to the Local Head of Office as well having a direct reporting line into the Chief Executive and Board, you’ll work closely and maintain effective dialogue with stakeholders in the operational business across EMEA, contributing to the continued development governance framework.
Day to day, you’ll be responsible for distribution agreements, their maintenance and adherence for a variety of investment funds in several domiciles. In those domiciles, you’ll ensure tax obligations are met and disclosed correctly and ensure compliant marketing.
With Business Development as a core part of your responsibilities, you’ll also work to support the sales strategy, provide detailed analytics and monitor key sales metrics, prepare strategy projects and develop recommendations in line with market trends.
About You
You will be a seasoned professional, ideally have already works as a Designated Person in a control function. You’ll have experience in and be comfortable with executive board reporting and presentation, have a strong business acumen with excellent analytics skills. Business Development experience in an Asset Manager would be highly beneficial.
As the office will be small initially (about 10 employees by min 2020) you’ll need to be a self-starter, astute, confident and ambitious. This is a hire for the longer term. |
