| Description: |
Responsibilities:
Accurate and timely production of the Net Asset Value per unit that is used for Investor deals and external publication;
Analytical review of each portfolio to determine and validate the positions/trades that cause the largest impact on the NAV movement and investigate same;
Ensuring all positions are priced correctly;
Verifying that corporate actions have been processed accurately;
Liaise and assist with audit queries on annual financial accounts;
Co-ordinating with other departments on miscellaneous fund queries and reconciliations;
Interaction with clients, ensuring a high level of service is provided at all times;
Review of overall job process with a view to further efficiencies;
Custody reconciliation and reporting;
Provide forecasted cash and other information to Fund Managers and designated third parties;
Reconciling, investigating and resolving all cash flows;
Processing of accounting transactions on valuations system
Requirements:
2+ years’ experience, preferably as a ‘fund accountant’
Primary Degree;
Numeric skills;
Communication skills;
Good organisational skills and a high attention to detail;
Excellent PC skills (Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel);
Self-motivated, innovative and analytical;
Accounting Skills:
Ability to work well as part of a team
Sign off and approval of junior team members work |
