Job Title: Trustee Officer | Dublin 2

Description:
Requirements:

The following Trustee duties are essential to the department’s review process:

Ensuring the proper processing of subscriptions and redemptions to and from the fund
Ensuring the proper calculation of the value of the shares/units of the fund
Reporting to the unitholders /shareholders as to whether the fund has been managed in accordance with its investment restrictions and borrowing powers
Ensuring that all income of the fund is applied in accordance with the regulations and the fund documents
For transactions involving a fund’s assets ensuring that consideration is remitted to the fund within time limits that are acceptable market practice
Approval of disbursements from the fund
Supervision of safe keeping agents appointed and confirming that the responsibilities of the safekeeping agent have been adequately discharged
Other ad-hoc investigations and duties as required
The person will be part of a team of nine people in the Trustee Services department of the company
This department acts independently of the Administration department and in the best interests of the funds investor
The candidate will report to the Trustee Supervisor and will be responsible for the review of a number of funds serviced by the department
In particular they will be required to ensure that the reviews are completed on a timely basis, and in accordance with internal procedures
Issues identified during the course of the departments review process will be reviewed and escalated in accordance with the department’s policies and procedures
Specific Responsibilities:

Carry out weekly and monthly Fund reviews in adherence with the departments procedures
Preparation of Custody reports to be presented to Board of Directors of Funds
Sign off of daily and weekly reviews carried out by the Trustee Assistants
Preparation of regulatory reporting for the Japanese regulatory authorities
Provide assistance and support to the Supervisors and your team in general
Assist in ad-hoc projects on request
Provide training to new staff
Liaise with the Supervisor or Assistant Vice President on any outstanding issues and escalated issues
Competencies and Traits Required:

A knowledge and understanding of the Trustee / Custodian role
Appropriate number of years’ experience in the Fund industry
Good PC literacy (Excel and word)
Be self-motivated with a structured and determined approach to work, and show a willingness to take ownership of problems and an ability to communicate with clients and colleagues at all levels
Ability to fit-into a close knit team, with an emphasis on openness and communication
Willingness to learn and participate in further training
Concern for excellence and accuracy
Education:

At least three years’ Trustee experience
A third level Business / Finance related qualification
Preferably have completed the Certificate in mutual funds/Certificate in Financial services
Be prepared to complete further Industry appropriate training
